Albert and Claire Wiegenstein Endowed Scholarship
Initiated by Dr. John T. Wiegenstein this scholarship was established with a gift from the estate of his cousin, Albert L. Wiegenstein who was an executive with Westinghouse. He was described as a natural salesman and was Regional Manager for the NW region. Albert (Bert) and his wife, Claire, assisted Dr. John Wiegenstein with a $300 gift for him to go to Harvard Medical School. Bert was very interested in ministry for Native American tribes giving to 8 different tribes. Criteria: a student in the Albers School ; 3.0 GPA or higher; financial need; preference for Native Americans or other under-represented minorities; for graduate students.
